- During his time in the Pacific Northwest, David Douglas took a keen interest in the local birds – eating their flesh, studying their carcasses, describing their behavior and asking tribal people about their deeper life histories. In this session, Spokane-based teacher and naturalist Jack Nisbet looks at the results of Douglas’ work and how it pertains to today’s bird populations.
